A 4-stroke power sprayer runs on plain petrol, while a 2-stroke power sprayer runs on a petrol and oil mix. That single difference decides most of the daily handling. In our knapsack range, the 2-stroke model gives the higher spray pressure, and the 4-stroke models save you from mixing fuel in the field.

What is the real difference between the two engines?

A 4-stroke engine keeps its lubricating oil separate from the fuel, so you fill the tank with petrol and check the engine oil as a routine job. A 2-stroke engine has no separate oil supply. It is lubricated by the oil mixed into its fuel, so every refill needs the mix made correctly. Follow the ratio in the manual for your engine, because a wrong mix is a common cause of early engine trouble.

How do JP Kissan knapsack sprayers compare?

The figures above are from the model pages. The JPK-2S-HL768 weighs 11 kg gross and runs at 5500 rpm.

When does a 2-stroke sprayer make sense?

  • You need higher pressure to reach into a dense crop canopy.
  • Your team already mixes fuel correctly for brush cutters or similar 2-stroke machines.
  • You want one strong machine for a mixed set of spraying jobs.

When does a 4-stroke sprayer make sense?

  • Several people use the machine, and a wrong fuel mix is a real risk.
  • You spray for long days and want simple refills with plain petrol.
  • Your crop does not need the top pressure of the 2-stroke model.

Which should you choose?

Decide on the crop first, then on who will run the machine. For a dense canopy, look at the JPK-2S-HL768. For routine spraying by different workers, look at the JPK-S4039A or the Knapsack 139F. If you also need to apply powder, the JPK-OO-3WF-2.6 duster handles both powder and liquid. Small plots that do not justify an engine can use the hand-lever JPK-20U.
