Agriculture Spray Pump

A spray machine for agriculture has one job: put the right chemical on the crop at a steady pressure, all day, without the operator fighting the equipment. Every agriculture spray pump we build is assembled with precision machined plungers, brass valve seats and an air chamber that smooths the pulse out of the delivery, so the nozzle pattern stays even from the first tank to the last.

The range runs from a 1.5 HP unit for a small holding up to a 9.5 HP pump moving 180 litres a minute for estate and tractor mounted work. Choosing a farming sprayer pump comes down to three numbers. Suction in litres per minute sets how fast you can cover the acreage. Pressure in bar sets how far the spray throws and how fine the droplet is. Motor HP has to match both, or the pump runs hot and the seals go early. Every model page below lists all three from the catalogue so the comparison is direct.

A power sprayer is only as good as what it is coupled to. We supply the pump alone, the pump coupled to a petrol engine on a chassis, and complete sets tested before dispatch. Pesticide spray machine duty is hard on seals, so grease free ceramic plunger versions are offered on the JPK-50 and JPK-65 series.

The same pump, many names

This equipment is quoted across the trade under a dozen different names, which makes comparing offers harder than it should be. A pesticide spray pump, pesticide sprayer pump, pesticide pump sprayer, pesticide spraying pump and a pump for spraying pesticides all describe the same triplex plunger unit. So do agri sprayer, agricultural sprayer, farm spray pump and spray motor pump. A pesticide spraying machine, pesticide sprayer machine and pesticide machine are the same thing again, usually quoted with the engine attached.

The same applies on the pressure side. A pressure spray pump, pressure sprayer pump and high pressure agriculture sprayer pump are all describing working pressure rather than a different design. If you have a quotation under any of those names, the JPK model numbers on this page are the direct equivalent and can be compared on suction, pressure and HP.

Application changes the name too but rarely the machine. A fertilizer sprayer and fertilizer pump sprayer are the same pump running liquid fertiliser instead of pesticide. A garden spray pump or garden spray machine is a smaller unit for nursery and landscape work. A water sprayer for agriculture is the same pump running plain water for dust suppression or irrigation top-up. An electric spray machine is the identical pump coupled to a motor instead of a petrol engine.
