Product Overview
An HTP sprayer in piston form trades some flow for simplicity and serviceability. Every pump in the JP Kissan HTP pump series is a three plunger design, so the delivery is steady and the wear parts are the ones your mechanic already stocks.
Pick by suction rate rather than by headline pressure. The JPK-16/18 and JPK-22 suit a nursery or a small plot. The JPK-50 and JPK-65 sizes are the working range for field spraying, and grease free ceramic plunger versions are offered where spraying hours are long. The JPK-150 and JPK-180 handle orchard and plantation duty.
A HTP power sprayer is normally belt driven from an electric motor or a petrol engine. We supply the bare pump so you can couple it to power you already own, or a complete power sprayer set on a chassis, tested before dispatch. Tell us the crop, the acreage and the hose run and we will size the pump against it.
Choosing a power sprayer pump
A power sprayer pump is sized on three things: the litres a minute it can draw, the pressure it holds at the gun and the power that drives it. Suction decides how fast you cover the field. Pressure decides how far the spray throws and how fine the droplet is. The motor or engine has to match both, or the pump runs hot and the seals wear early.
As a rough guide, 12 to 25 litres a minute suits a nursery or a small holding, 30 to 60 litres covers most field crops, 45 to 90 litres suits orchards and larger acreage, and 125 to 180 litres is for estate and tractor driven spraying. Each JP Kissan HTP pump carries an air chamber, a pressure gauge and a bypass, so the pressure can be set for the job and the delivery stays steady.
Power sprayer for agriculture: motor or engine
Where there is a reliable power point at the field or the farmyard, an electric motor is the quieter and cheaper way to run a power sprayer. Where there is none, couple the pump to a petrol engine on a chassis. Either way the pulley ratio has to turn the pump at its rated speed. Buy the pump and power as a matched complete power sprayer set and that is done for you. Run it with a hose rated above the pump pressure, such as our agriculture spray hose.
